First issued in 1861 with a portrait of Abraham Lincoln Large size notes were printed until 1923.  Featuring Salmon Chase, Daniel Webster, Benjamin Franklin, Robert Morris, Thomas Hendricks, Phillip Sheridan, Lewis&Clark, William McKinley, Michael Hillegas and Andrew Jackson. Portrait depending on year and type Interest Bearing Note, Compound Interest Treasury Note, National Gold Bank Note, Silver Certificate, Refunding Certificate, Treasury Note, National Bank Note Gold Certificate and Federal Reserve Notes.  Small Notes Have Alexander Hamilton on them with the National Bank Note, Federal Reserve Bank Note, Gold Certificate, Silver Certificate and Federal Reserve Note
